The victory in the Blue Hors 4-year-old Dressage Championship went to Bentley!

This weekend, the Baron-son Bentley achieved his second top-3 placement at the Blue Hors Dressage Championship! Last year, he finished second overall, and today, as this year’s winner of the 4-year-old class was announced, he took the title all the way!

The victory in the Blue Hors 4-year-old Dressage Championship went to Bentley!

Bentley won the Dressage Championship for 4-year-olds!

Among the 8 horses in the final for 4-year-old dressage horses, offspring of Blue Hors Fifty Cent, Blue Hors Farrell, Blue Hors Zackerey, Blue Hors Rockefeller, and Blue Hors Baron could be found. All of them performed excellently in the best sporting manner and under the beautiful morning sunshine. However, only one could be crowned as the champion!

Last year, he finished second with Caroline Hansen in the saddle – and this year, he did it! With his new rider Jacqueline Dupont on board!

For the second year in a row, Bentley (by Blue Hors Baron/Sorento, breeder: Manfred Heider) found himself in the top 3 of the Blue Hors Dressage Championship. But this year, ridden by Jacqueline, he continued to climb the ranks and took the victory in the 4-year-old class! Jacqueline rides the gelding for its owners, Nordentoft Equestrian.

The impressive, well-trained gelding achieved an overall score of 84.600, being rewarded with 8.4 for rideability! The other scores included 8.9 for trot, 8.6 for a spacious canter, 8 for an active walk, and 8.4 for good future potential.

Zackerey and Farrell's daughter in the top-3!

In the Dressage Championship for 4-year-olds, Langeskovs Zakira, sired by Blue Hors Zackerey out of Blue Hors Don Romantic, took 2nd place. She was bred by Helle Langeskov Roth and is owned by Detlef Soll. Zakira received scores of 8.2 for trot, 8.6 for walk, 8.7 for canter, 8.5 for rideability, 8.3 for potential, and a total score of 84.600, the same as Bentley! However, Bentley secured the victory based on the potential score, securing the overall championship. Zakira was ridden by Ida Hofman-Bang.

On the 3rd place, we have Filucca Lærkelund. Filucca’s sire is Blue Hors Farrell, and her maternal grandfather is Blue Hors Zatchmo. She was bred by Bente Elbæk & Niels Skovrup, and her owner and rider is Caroline Hansen. Caroline, a newly graduated Master Rider, calls Filucca her “happiness pill” – and it’s easy to see why! Filucca is beautiful and well-trained, and her performance was duly rewarded. The pair received scores of 8.6 for trot, 8 for walk, 8.2 for canter, 8.5 for rideability, 8.2 for potential, and a total score of 83.000.

Congratulations to all the placed competitors!
