Blue Hors Baron started his career in Denmark in the spring of 2016, where he obtained his approval in Danish Warmblood at the stallion selection in Herning. He then passed, in continuation of his selection, his 10-day test, just as he also passed his 35-day test in the autumn of 2016. In the spring of 2017, he obtained his final approval in Herning, where only three other 4-year-old stallions, besides Baron, obtained their final breeding approval in Denmark.

Baron’s sire, Callaho’s Benicio, is one of the best sons by the top stallion Belissimo M. Benicio has won the German Bundeschampionat for 6-year-old dressage horses, won up to Intermediare II dressage and achieved the total score of 9.88 points at his material test in Schliekau with i.a. 10 for walk, trot and canter. Grandfather Belissimo M is the stallion behind Grand Prix horses such as Isabell Werth’s Bella Rose and the approved Grand Prix sons; BiedermeierBestseller Royale, and Barclay 20.

Baron’s dam, Snoopje, is also the mother of Die Baroness and the stallion Best Dancer, who have both shown themselves very well in the German young horse classes with, among other things, a bronze medal for Best Dancer at the Hanoverian Association’s 4-year-old championships of 2021. The approved Grand Prix stallion, Golden Sky, who is the full brother of Baron’s great-grandmother, Groehnloh, is also worth mentioning. Groenloh is also the mother of Blue Hors Hotline daughter Heidi Im Gluck, who has competed at Grand Prix level. In the damline there are also several approved stallions as well as successful offspring at S-level in both disciplines – among others the Alabaster son Athletic Dreamboy, the Abajo offspring Aspe and Lustig by Lucius XX

The grandfather, Sandro Hit son, Sir Donnerhall I,  has done especially well as both sire and damsire. He has delivered several top auction horses, premium stallions, world champions for young dressage horses and approved stallions and mares, among others, the OLD wing stallion Sir Heinrich, the bronze medalist Stanford and the double world champion for young horses, Sa Coeur (2012 and 2013), who was sold for 2.3 million. € at the PSI auction in 2012. Grandmother’s sire, Trakehner elite stallion Friedensfürst, not only contributes with important blood components in Baron’s pedigree, he was also a very successful dressage horse under Nicole Uphoffand Lisa Wilcox in international Big Tour. Due to his sporting successes and the quality of his offspring’s results, Friedensfürst was awarded the title of elite stallion in 2003.

In the further pedigree is Grundstein I, who was also successful in Grand Prix dressage. With Grundstein I, Baron carries the valuable Grande bloodline. Furthermore, Baron’s bloodline is also marked by the  blood from Black Sky XX, who can be considered the founder of the XX line known through the Black Sky XX son, the breeding stallion, Bolero. Groehnloh is also the dam of the Grand Prix mare, Heidi Im Gluck, whose sire is Blue Hors Hotline.

On all occasions, the sensational mover Baron convinced both the judges and the audience with his high degree of rideability, interior values and three excellent basic gaits.

Our experience is that Baron’s offspring are exceptionally well-functioning under rider, which corresponds with his stallion lineage, which is famous for inheriting rideability, dressage talent, unlimited movement potential with maximum shoulder freedom and lots of hind-leg activity.

Baron is sire of several awarded mares and stallions such as the Hanoverian approved stallions Bachelor, Beggin C, Baron De Ley and Bugatti GS and the mare Bonsai (Baron – Royal Classic – Wolkentanz II), bred by Irmgard Schmidt and who was titled Champion Mare and ‘Best Mare of the Day’ by the Hanoverian Association at the mare grading show in Grindsted with the grades 9 for walk, 9 for trot, 10 for canter, 9 for rideability and 9.5 by test rider.

Bonsai has been a very big factor in the purchase of Baron, since the mare has been taking away all of the Blue Hors personel’s breath with her outstanding and unmatched potential.
