With sunshine from the sky and the Don Schufro statue in the background, the 3-year-old young horses took to the arena 2 at the Blue Hors 3-year-old Dressage Championship! The judging panel for the final consisted of Floor Dröge and Eddy Schuster, who with their experienced eyes evaluated the talented young horses, including the winner, the 3-year-old Falaise by Blue Hors Farrell!

9 for canter, ride ability and potential!

As always, it is a pleasure to see the well-prepared 3-year-old horses that compete in the Blue Hors Dressage Championship. They all show great potential and capacity, which only adds to the excitement of the competition!

A particularly well-trained mare, by the stunning stallion Blue Hors Farrell, was rewarded in the final with scores of 8.8 for trot, 8.2 for walk, 9 for canter, 9 for suppleness, 9 for potential, and a total score of 88,000. This mare is none other than Falaise, by Blue Hors Farrell/Blue Hors Zalabaster. Falaise was bred by Asbjørn Lauritsen, Rikke Munk, and Simon Johansen, and is owned by Asbjørn Lauritsen. She was ridden by Simone Blomme Rasmussen. The team, with the support of commentator and rider Ulrik Falbe-Hansen, managed to convince the judging panel that “This is a horse that looks like ANYONE can get on and have a good ride!”

Therefore, they were rightfully proclaimed as the winners of the Blue Hors Dressage Championship for 3-year-olds in 2023!

The 2nd place in the championship went to Grevens Fakir, by Blue Hors Farrell/Jazz, bred and owned by Stutteri Greven v/Dorit Greve and Svend Skov Poulsen. The chestnut gelding, ridden by rider Silje Bakken, received scores of 8.3 for trot, 8.3 for walk, 8.1 for canter, 8.6 for rideability, 8.4 for potential, and a total score of 83,400.

The 3rd place was awarded to a daughter of our international top sire, Blue Hors Zack. The mare Lindballe’s Zanza-Donna, by Blue Hors Zack/Blue Hors Romanov, was born at owner Stald Lindballe. Zanza-Donna and her rider, Malene Mira Petersen, achieved scores of 8.7 for trot, 8.2 for walk, 8.2 for canter, 8 for rideability, 8.4 for potential, and a total score of 83,000.
