The Danish Blue Hors rider Nanna Skodborg Merrald and the gelding Blue Hors Zepter (by Blue Hors Zack – Wolkentanz II, breeder: Bernhard Sieverding) blew us all away when they, over three days in the German city of Riesenbeck, secured the Danish national team EC bronze for teams, and took the individual silver medal in the Grand Prix Special and secured their place in the world elite with a fantastic 4th place in Sunday’s Grand Prix Freestyle.

The decisive ride for the team bronze

In Thursday’s team competition in the Grand Prix, Nanna, Zepter and Sille were the last Danish combination on in the team competition during this year’s EC – and the tension was enormous, as the Swedes were right on the heels of the Danish team!

But, with a wild 78.556% and an individual ranking of number 4, Nanna, Sille and Zepter became the decisive card in the battle for the bronze medals.

A convincing triumph dressed in silver

For us, the EC in Riesenbeck was not just another event on the calendar, but an event that highlighted Nanna and Zepters as the world-class combination they are! With an impressive score of 82.796% in the Grand Prix Special, they passed Lottie Fry on Glamourdale and Charlotte Dujardin on Imhotep and secured the well-deserved individual silver medal!

Nanna and Zepter continue to grow together and impress us every time they make their entrance on the world’s biggest dressage stages – and their great results, skills and talent are something that resonates around the world!

With a view towards Paris

In Sunday’s Grand Prix Freestyle, Nanna and Zepter narrowly missed out on the medals as they placed fourth for the day with 89.546%. In doing so, they defended their position as number two in the world ranking.

But this ride was not only a defense of their position in the world top of dressage, but also an underlining of the fact that Nanna and Zepter are a team you MUST have on your list for the Paris Olympics – an event with all eyes directed at.

With such a confident EC in Riesenbeck, and a now firmly established position at the top of the world rankings, Nanna and Zepter’s progress in the dressage sport has earned them respect and admiration from horse people all over the world.
