"My goal is to develop my riding and improve my skills in dressage, so I am very much looking forward to the collaboration with Blue Hors and their Talent Program. I look forward to sparring with their skilled riders, coaches and the whole team, of which I am proud to have become part"
Sophia began competing the Young Rider level with the now 10-year old Gørklintgards Jericho b. Jazz/Sunny Boy (breeder: Jørgen Ravn) in 2019. She is a multiple medal winner of the Nordic Baltic Championships as a junior, where she in 2018 won individual silver and team gold for Denmark on Jericho, who is the horse she this summer also won the Danish Young Riders Championships with.
She has also competed the Young Riders level with her second horse Safari Klintgaard b. Sunny Boy/Don Schufro (breeder: Ulla Klokker Andersen & Rikke Munk). With Safair she won the ECCO cup for junior in 2018.
Sophia lives in Gråsten, Denmark and attends high school in Sønderborg. She began riding as an 8-year old and got her own first pony as a 9-year old. She comes from a horsey family with her mom and trainer being examined Bereiter Pernille Ørum.
Blue Hors Talent Program
The Blue Hors Talent programme includes 2 to five talented young riders aged 15-23
The selected riders get the opportunity to work with talented horses, receive training and consulting in the professional presentation of horses and as being a professional athlete
The participants are selected according to their potential
The Blue Hors Talent Team now consists of Anders Sjobeck Hoeck, Cecilie Dybro Jensen and Sophia Ludvigsen
Sophia and Blue Hors Quintana
Sophia has now received the ride on the 6-year old Blue Hors Quintana b. Quantensprung/Desperados (breeder: Steffen Brunkhorst), who has previous been educated by Blue Hors riders Daniel Bachmann Andersen and Cristian Tudela Ruiz.
“I am really looking forward to getting to know him better and I hope to be able to get him ready for the junior classes next year. Quintana is in many ways reminiscent of my horse Jericho, which I have chosen to pull from competition after the Danish Championships. Therefore, it will be great to have a horse in the stable that can take over Jericho’s place“, Sophia says on her new partner Quintana
