  • Zackerey is a very special stallion of a rare caliber, where conformation and type, gaits, rideability, willingness to work and unique performance pedigree combine to form something greater than the sum of its parts.
  • Blue Hors sports manager Ulrik Gerstorf Sørensen says that now that Zack is king at Blue Hors, his son Zackerey is undoubtedly the prince: He is built phenomenally well and has the will, the desire and the gaits and thus the best prerequisites to follow in his father’s footsteps.
  • Zackerey’s first appearance on the international breeding scene was when he took the crowd by storm at the Oldenburg stallion licensing in Vechta in 2016 and again a year later at the Danish Warmblood stallion licensing in Herning, where he was named premium stallion. In 2018 Zackerey was named a gold medal stallion at the Danish Warmblood licensing and won the Aage Ravn Challenge Cup. His crowning achievement came later that year when he was named Hauptprämiensieger at the Oldenburg stallion licensing in Vechta: here the best 2014-born stallion is honoured on the basis of performance test, sport results and not least the quality of the stallion’s first foal crop. Zackerey was absolutely magnificent and the show hall in Vechta thundered with jubilation.
  • He has fulfilled all expectations and, as a 4-year-old, even surpassed them by taking second place in the DRF Championship final under Daniel Bachmann Andersen, with a score of 9.46 points overall: 9.8 for canter, 9.5 for trot and rideability and 8.8 for walk.

Zackerey is very ambitious and actually wants to do too much considering his age, so I mostly try to teach him that he just needs to loosen up at work. He is not only good looking, but also quite intelligent. He never looks around, he stays focused on his rider, even with other horses around. I am in no hurry with Zackerey, he will quietly learn it all, says Zackerey’s former rider Daniel Bachmann Andersen enthusiastically.

  • Zackerey’s sire Blue Hors Zack belongs to the world’s elite in breeding and sport. At the end of the 2019 competition year he ranks 6th in the world rankings, has won two World Cup qualifiers and took 4th at the 2019 World Cup Final, also becoming Danish champion.
  • Zack’s offspring include international Grand Prix horses such as Glock’s Zonik and Blue Horse Zepter as well as triple World Championship winner Sezuan. Zack has many younger offspring that show potential to become future Grand Prix horses.
  • Zackerey’s foals have proven to be very strong in type and with great movements.
  • As a breeding stallion, Zackerey has the whole package, and he does not have Donnerhall in his lineage so he can be combined with most mare types and most pedigrees.
  • Zackerey was stationed in Germany during his first breeding season, which is why his first foals in 2018 are almost all born and registered in Germany. These included several champion foals and top-priced auction foals such as the filly Zara (damsire Bretton Woods) who sold at the elite foal auction in Vechta for 59,000 euros.
  • The 2019 foal season was his first complete year in Denmark, and here many of his foals shone at regional foal licensing events. A few of his foals were therefore at the Danish Warmblood Elite Show, where the filly Strandagergårds Sanadu (damsire Blue Hors Don Romantic, breeder Jens Jørgen Abildskov), advanced to the final.
  • The filly Egegårdens Miss Daisy (damsire Blue Hors Farrell, breeder Bjarne Pedersen) was the most expensive filly at the Elite Foal Auction, selling for 40,000 euros to Blue Hors.
