Third place for Nanna and Tillie in World Cup London Grand Prix
Nanna Merrald, Trine Ølgod, Ellen Glinvad and the mare Orthilia at World Cup Lyon
Wow wow wow one more time over 75% for Tille and me! Finishing third in yesterday's Grand Prix!
Blue Hors rider Nanna Skodborg Merrald and the bay mare Atterupgaards Orthilia (by Gribaldi / Donnerschlag, breeder: Atterupgaard/Kristine Munch Sinding) rode into another nice third place in the short Grand Prix at the FEI Dressage World Cup™ 2021/2022 competition in the English capital of London with an impressive 75.105%
In Thursday’s second place, German Frederic Wandres was once again to be found with Duke of Britain FRH (by Dimaggio / Rubinstein, breeders: Sarah & Tony Pidgley). While the showdown between Frederic and Nanna was going on once again, the class and the entire dressage competition’s running winner was English Charlotte Dujardin on the Tango / Apache-son Gio, who has just been sold to Dujardin’s student Annabelle Pidgley – and who can therefore be expected to have ridden one of his last shows under Charlotte at the World Cup London.
Nanna’s program was strongly emphasized by a beautiful passage / piaffe-tour, which must be said to be the bay mare’s specialty.
In Friday’s Grand Prix Freestyle, Nanna and Orthilia showed an extremely high level of difficulty in their freestyle, which was rewarded with a consistent trend of over 80%. Unfortunately, our Danish favorite pair had to retire at the end – but we are sure that they will return stronger than ever! They’re for sure a pair for the very top of the sport, where only the very best can threaten them.
