Succesful show in the French town of Compiègne for Zack and his sons
Nanna Skodborg Merrald & Blue Hors Zack
"Super feeling today with the amazing Zack! Unfortunately we had a few, but very expensive misunderstandings, but still a third place and 73% Now we are looking forward for the special tomorrow"
Rider Nanna Skodborg Merrald, groom Ellen Glinvad Nielsen, breeding stallion Blue Hors Zack (Rousseau / Jazz) and Zack-son Blue Hors Znickers (Blue Hors Zack / De Niro) went on to new show adventures last week, where the team was ready already on Friday for Znickers to show in the CDI2 * Prix St. Georges and for Zack in the CDI3 * Grand Prix.
International show debut for 8 year old Blue Hors Znickers
In Friday’s CDI2 * Prix St. Georges at 11.08 AM, it was time for the combination of Nanna Skodborg Merrald / Blue Hors Znickers to show! They did so with a score of 72.706% and an impressive place as number 2. The pair was only surpassed by the young, British talent Charlotte Fry, who on the horse Don Joe, rode into first place with a score of 74.647%
Nanna and Znickers repeated the success in Saturday’s Intermediare I. With 70.618% they rode into yet another second place in the large field of competitors. This class was also won by Charlotte Fry and Don Joe, this time with 73.706%.
“8 y/o Blue Hors Znickers made his debut in the Prix St. George today (ed. as well as in Intermediare I on Saturday), and he was so nicely relaxed and “on” for the game, which I consider really important with such a young and inexperienced horse”

Zack and Nanna two times number three in the three starred Grand Prix classes
The Les Internationaux de Dressage show in Compiègne, France, which took place from 28 to 30 May 2021, has been yet another very exciting international show of top quality!
Denmark sent a handful of A-team riders, who then got the opportunity to test their form in front of top judges as a prelude to the upcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. Among the Danish riders were Cathrine Dufour with the horses Bohemian and Vamos Amigos, Andreas Helgstrand with the mare Fiontini, Carina Cassøe Krüth with Heilines Danciera, Charlotte Heering with Bufranco, and our own Nanna Merrald with Blue Hors Zack.
Father & Son - Zack & Zonik
Zack and Nanna once again showed us, that the couple is of the highest quality, when they, together with Cathrine & Vamos Amigos, put Denmark in on both second – and third place in Friday’s Grand Prix. First place once again went to Charlotte Fry, who rode an astounding 76,674% on Everdale. The experienced Danish top athletes Nanna and Zack rode to the great result of 73.170%. Considering that the couple came back nicely after an expensive mistake in the half-passes, one can only be excited to follow Zack and Nanna on their journey in Grand Prix .
The Zack-son GLOCK’s Zonik, ridden by HansPeter Minderhoud, also participated in the class, and came in on a nice spot as number four, which really emphasizes Zack’s abilities as a breeding stallion.
Saturday’s Grand Prix Special turned into another great third place with 73,170% for Nanna and Zack. With that, the pair proved once again, that they are nothing less than a stable Grand Prix couple that does extremely well in an international setting.
