In Sunday’s young rider class, CDIY Freestyle, Blue Hors rider Sophia Ludvigsen and Blue Hors Elliott also secured a Danish victory with an amazing score of 79.15%. And they were up against a strong international field! Sophia did it again!

Sophia Ludvigsen continued to impress at the Aalborg Dressage Event, riding Blue Hors Quintana (by Quantensprung/Desperados, breeder: Steffen Brunkhorst) in the U25 classes of the CDI Aalborg. The pair secured second place in Thursday’s CDIU25 Grand Prix with a score of 70.128%, before going on to win Saturday’s CDIU25 Grand Prix Freestyle with an exceptional score of 74.990%!

All the Danish U25 riders put in a great performance at the event. On Thursday afternoon, Sara Aagaard Hyrm and Atterupgaards Cooper (by Charmeur/I.P.S. Gribaldi, breeder: Atterupgaard) gave Sophia a run for her money, winning the U25 class with a score of 72.521%, while Sophia and Caroline T. Elsner took second and third place, respectively, and Alexander Yde Helgstrand finished fourth.

However, Sophia made a strong comeback in Saturday’s CDIU25 Grand Prix Freestyle, where she and Quintana secured the victory with a score of 74.99%, with a program that included some really impressive canter pirouettes.

To manage all her rides, Sophia brought her groom, Ingrid Rimestad, with her to the event. Together, Sophia and Ingrid could rejoice in their exceptional performance over the weekend!

An experienced pair with impressive placings in Grand Prix dressage.

Blue Hors rider Cristian Tudela Ruiz and Blue Hors Zick Flower (by Blue Hors Zack/Blue Hors Romanov, breeder: Andreas Gregersen) took fifth place in Thursday’s Grand Prix with a score of 68.217% and fourth place in Friday’s Grand Prix Special with a score of 67.957% at the Aalborg Dressage Event.

Cristian was accompanied by his groom, Mille Braa Nielsen, who has been a regular part of the experienced pair’s team throughout both 2022 and 2023. Together, the three of them form a strong team that achieves impressive and consistent results on international level.

A great debut!

Blue Hors rider Amalie Aasted Albæk made her debut with Gørklintsgårds Quantico (by Quaterback/Carpaccio, breeder: Jørgen Ravn) and achieved an impressive score of 67.237% in Saturday’s Intermediare II in the national competition at the event.

Amalie was accompanied by her groom Mathilde Damholt Völcker, and we look forward to following this team in the future – who knows? Maybe we’ll see them in U25 dressage alongside Sophia and one of her horses?
