"In collaboration with Blue Hors, we are excited to announce that Blue Hors Zackorado will be standing in the UK for the 2022 breeding season, providing breeders with access to top-class chilled semen right here in Great Britain"

Lorna Wilson, Elite Stallion U.K.

Blue Hors has entered an agreement with collaborative partner Elite Stallions U.K. by Lorna Wilson on leasing out Blue Hors Zackorado (Blue Hors Zack – Florencio I – Donnerhall, breeder: Paul Rode) for the 2022 breeding season for the benefit of the British breeders.

As a consequence of Brexit, the British breeders have experienced an increased  complication of the process of importing quality semen. The 6-year-old Zackorado, who with 57 coverings was the 11th most used breeding stallion in Denmark in 2021, will therefore continue his breeding and, of course, his promising sports career in the UK, where he will be well received by an enthusiastic team at Elite Stallions UK

"We are honoured to be collaborating with the world famous Blue Hors stud with this incredible horse and to be able to have a horse of his calibre available to British breeders. We can’t wait. He will continue his sports career on UK soil under the expert guidance of Anna Ross and the team at Elite Dressage. We are very excited to introduce you to this young stallion and you will be able to meet/watch him being ridden on the 11/12th February at the British Stallion Show at Arena UK"

About the charming Blue Hors Zackorado

About the charming Blue Hors Zackorado, we can tell that he is by Blue Hors Zack and out of the mare Roxanna (Florencio – Donnerhall – Rubinstein). He is bred by Paul Rode in Germany, where he also obtained his first breeding approval at the German ZfDP stallion selection in Kreuth, where he was named Champion Stallion in 2018. Two weeks later he was approved in Westphalia, and in April 2019, he was approved by the Hanoverian Association, just as the Oldenburger Pferdzuchtverband and the Danish Warmblood also followed up and approved him for use in their breeding associations. The stallion is from a high-performance damline that has produced many highly awarded mares and stallions, as well as several competition horses.

In 2020, he was the fifth most used breeding stallion in Denmark with 104 coverings, just as he made his Danish competition debut in June at the qualification for the Danish Riding Federation’s dressage championship for 4-year-old horses, where he finished third with 93.8 points. In the semi-finals in September, he finished second with 90.6 points, while the final itself was canceled due to Covid-19. As a 5-year-old, he rode the finals, where he finished as no. 5 with 86.4 points.
